🌼 A Note from Shrutimanjari 🌼

"They copied out of envy, I smiled out of growth. We’re not on the same journey."

There was a time, at the very beginning of Shrutimanjari, when people would ask—“Can anything meaningful regarding performing art be taught online?” And Then the world changed. The pandemic forced us to adapt, to evolve. And suddenly, even those unfamiliar with live recitation classes or online platforms found themselves reaching for mobile phones and Google searches, trying to keep up.

In the recitation community, a shift happened—not always out of readiness, but often from rivalry. Infrastructure? Skill? These questions took a backseat to competition. As advertisements poured in promising “Online and Offline classes available,” one wondered—in this rush, did we pause to consider the quality of what we were offering?

But rather than speak for everyone else, let me share what we’ve done.

This year, 24 students (kids) from Shrutimanjari appeared for the All India Music and Culture Council’s Elementary Part 1 Recitation Exam. (Before appearing for the Council’s annual examination, students must first pass an entrance test. This year, the elementary level entrance was conducted exclusively for children, and 24 of them went on to appear for the Council’s yearly examination.)

All passed with First Division, and 23 earned Distinction. In the Fine Arts Group, all 3 students achieved Distinction as well.

✨ That is what structured planning, the right intentions, infrastructure, courage, and patience can accomplish. ✨

With love and respect, I bow to my Guru. I bow to my father. And with your blessings, may Shrutimanjari continue to grow, inspired and unwavering.
